Welcome to 4th Grade
I really enjoyed meeting many of you today at Sneak-A-Peek. I hope you felt welcome, and are willing to join together as a team to help our 20 lovely students prepare for their futures. I have already been hard at work, and look forward to getting to know each of the kids.
Things we spoke about today were:
1. Office Depot backpacks, supplies and gift cards that each child will receive on Friday, August 3rd at 9 AM.
2. School Supply list that I am sending home on Wednesday, August 1st. I am asking for all supplies to be turned in by Friday, August 10th so that we can finally begin actually instruction and homework routines all together.
Supply List
3. Our lunch time is 11:15. We will not have snack.
4. Specials time is 1:20-2:10. Please schedule Dr. appointments and dentist appointments after 1:00 so that the students do not miss instructional time.

6. I am best reached by
a. cell phone: text messages or calling

7. My main rule: TRY YOUR BEST!!!
8. School pledge: "I will be respectful, responsible and productive throughout the day."
9. I will be sending home agendas in lime green binders with orange communication folders. Please sign the agenda daily and return them daily.
Things I promised to find out and get back to you with are:
1. Scores from 3rd Grade Milestones Re-takes
2. Homework plan
3. AR
4. Grading and Parent VUE
5. Rotation schedule for SPECIALS.
I will get this information and let you know as soon as I do!
One more major item I did not share yet... at least one of our students and I have severe allergies. Because of this, I am requesting the following:
1. No Scented items used- Please do not allow the kids to wear cologne, perfume, scented sprays, nor AXE body wash and deodorants. Also, if you come into the classroom to volunteer or for conferences, please do not wear any either. If it is so strong that I have trouble breathing, I will send the child to another 4th grade classroom, so that they do not miss out on instruction. I might also call you to bring a change of clothes.
2. On days when we eat in the classroom, no cereal, fish, shellfish, peanuts, peanut butter nor pork products such as sausage, bacon, ham, pepperoni nor bar-b-que can enter the classroom.
3. I am also allergic to grass, on days that it has been raining, recess will only be on the red ground and not in the fields, as it enters the classroom The grass also inhibits my breathing.
